Ritam Technologies, LLC, of Antioch, CA, announces the pending release of its latest version of Summit Rental System™, Pro edition (“Summit Rental”). This new version takes advantage of the single-click route optimizing technology and Google® map views of Summit Route Management Plus Proof! Mobility™ upon which it is based. It also incorporates the features for dispatching, tracking, and customer notifications, e.g. “Proof of Service” and more. Rental then adds billing, customer accounting, and extensive reporting features.


Billing has been a sore issue with software purported to be “for the industry,” particularly within the portable sanitation segment. Various billing cycles are typically used, depending upon market variables, such as monthly, 28-day, special event, etc. The roll-off industry segment also has the potential for “inactivity” or “rental fees”, although most of their work and billing is on demand. Beyond different billing cycles, there are different policies regarding pro-rations, which could be daily or weekly (i.e. “per service”), or even disallowed altogether. On top of that, add delivery and pickup fees, damage waivers, disposal/environmental fees, fuel surcharges, franchise fees, etc. Each local market and business owner has their own flavor of doing business, and most software does not accommodate such requirements, let alone the demands of “special” customers. There are always exceptions to the standard case, and software has to be flexible enough to address the needs and keep them straight.


This new version of Summit Rental handles all of the above, and more! It has a unique feature to manage various billing cycles automatically. Users define the period length (28 days, etc.) and type (advanced, arrears, etc.) plus pro-ration options, extra charges, etc., and Summit takes it from there. Special customers with special needs? Summit has them covered!


It even has an option for Customer Account Web Portal for customers to securely log in and perform 4 main functions:


- Change account settings (address, phone, etc.)

- Review/print invoices and statements

- Make secure on-line payments

- Request service

Starting with the Pro edition, users may upsize to Deluxe or Premium editions whenever ready to add inventory control and more (optional bar-code scanning – See “Featured Product” information on Summit Proof!
