Jan 13, 2020

iMPREG LLC, a manufacturer of uv cured in place pipe (cipp) liners, ranging in sizes from 6 in. - 72 in. for trenchless pipe rehabilitation, celebrated the Grand Opening of it’s new, state-of-the art manufacturing facility in Chesterfield County on October 3rd. The company invested $4 million dollars, to renovate the 45,000 square foot facility located at 8000 Whitepine Road, near the Chesterfield County Airport. iMPREG has spent the last 1 ½ years building up it’s manufacturing facility, and working with the Chesterfield Economic Development, as well as the Greater Richmond Partnership, to qualify for local and state incentives to establish iMPREG in Chesterfield County. Both divisions have been a huge help in assisting iMPREG to choose the Richmond area.

Matt Harris, Deputy County Administrator of Chesterfield County was the Keynote Speaker at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, along with Olga Molnar, VP Global Investment of the Greater Richmond Partnership.

iMPREG was early to recognize the benefits of no-dig rehabilitation, using fiberglass pipe liner technology 20 years ago in Europe. Since the foundation of the company, iMPREG has consistently developed and extended this technology, and initially introduced it to the U.S. market 10 years ago. The result: Rehabilitation using pipe liners, is the most frequently used process in no-dig sewer rehabilitation. “Fiberglass reinforced UV CIPP is the future for no dig rehabilitation of sewer and storm water”, said Christoph Lindner, VP of iMPREG LLC.

iMPREG LLC, is a subsidiary of the iMPREG Group and is based in Denmark. The iMPREG Group has two other manufacturing plants, one in Ammerbuch, Germany which is also known as the Center of Excellence, and another in Taicang, China. The plant in Chesterfield County is their first U.S. manufacturing facility.
