This course is the introduction to providing Operations and Maintenance services for Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (OWTS).  There are many aspects of OWT Systems that are misunderstood or undervalued by homeowners and practitioners within the industry.  By covering the beginning and initial steps in Operations and Maintenance the participant will learn to appreciate the complexity of even the most basics of OWTS.

1. Provide an overview of the necessary skills and the important decisions practitioners need to consider to allow for a successful O&M business
2. Discuss the importance of and development of files and communications for the O&M practitioner
3. Explain necessary O&M and care of conventional systems and basic pump systems
4. Recognize wastewater flows and their impacts to systems
